The 700D4E and 700E feature the same grilling area (697 sq. in.), but the 700D4E has several upgrades in temperature control and the hopper design.
The 700D4E boasts a PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) temperature control board for precise temperatures and maximum consistency. The temperature control board also incorporates two temperature probes and a large LCD shows the temperatures clearly.
The 700E has a conventional digital temperature control board and an LED temperature display. No temperature probe is included.
These two models have the same hopper capacity, but the 700D4E features a hopper cleanout door allowing users to easily swap pellets.
Cook all your favorite recipes on the Z Grills, because everything that can be cooked, will taste better with a savory, smoky flavor. To get maximum smoky flavor, smoke your food at temperatures of less than 250 °F.
Yes. The 700D4E gets up to 450 °F. That’s hot enough to make searing doable.
The 700D4E is one of the best Z Grills smoker choices if you live somewhere that gets colder. The stainless steel lid coupled with side wall insulation offers better heat retention for improved performance. Plus, it’ll also improve fuel efficiency so you won’t be burning through the pellets trying to smoke in winter.
